Matthew Baier

Matt is an PhD Candidate in the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology in the MD/PhD program at the OUHSC College of Medicine. He is currently appointed as a graduate student trainee on the Oklahoma Center for Geroscience and Healthy Brain Aging T32 Training Grant. His current predoctoral research focuses on characterizing the interrelations between mitochondrial dysfunction, reactive astrogliosis, cellular senescence, and cognitive decline associated with aging. Outside of the lab, Matt continues to freelance professionally as a violist.
